Lexington South Asian Literary And Cultural Festival

Explore the World of Books and Literature

We are proud to announce the South Asian Literary and Cultural Festival in Lexington, Massachusetts—a student-led celebration of literature, identity, and community. Organized under the leadership of the President of the Lexington High School Muslim Student Association, this event will feature an inspiring lineup of writers and thinkers of South Asian heritage, whose voices are reshaping the literary landscape both locally and globally.

The festival brings together an extraordinary group of authors and essayists with roots in  the South Asian diaspora. These writers bring with them powerful, diverse stories that explore themes of belonging, displacement, resilience, family, identity, and transformation.

This festival will highlight the rich cultural narratives that often remain underrepresented in mainstream literary spaces. Through panel discussions, author conversations, and audience Q&As, we aim to open up thoughtful dialogue about the complexities of cultural heritage, the meaning of home, the evolution of tradition, and the challenges and hopes that shape our shared futures.

By spotlighting South Asian voices, we invite everyone — regardless of background — to listen, learn, question, and reflect.

In a time when building inclusive communities is more important than ever, the South Asian Literary and Cultural Festival will offer Lexington an opportunity to connect across cultures, foster empathy, and celebrate the incredible creativity that diversity brings.

We warmly invite you to join us for this unforgettable gathering of voices, ideas, and stories that will leave a lasting mark on our town's cultural landscape. South Asian Literary Festival
